can you be more specific? I guess not and you lost your credibility with your mediocre criticism anyway.
maybe you are better off with windows and a reinstall every six months. meh. _________________ --

You said you installed 1.5.1 on the 13th of august, while 1.5.1 wasn't officially released then. 1.5.1 has been released on the 18th of august.
So, what iso were you using? Perhaps the 1.5.1-rc1 one? that's not a stable iso... you should have expected some bugs in it already.
Your post is very childish: if you want to help us you would have been more precise, and told us which things were broken instead. Instead you behave in a way that helps neither you nor us. Very sad. |

Hi, i'm just downloaded the bz2 image of the 1.5.1 release. i have a toshiba a75-s229. i burned the cd image with k3b and booted, but when the system is booting from the cds, i have a lot of "permission denied" errors. for example when is loading modules for the network card (8139too).
i tried typing lnet, luser, lmodules but nothing works. Only lunar, but i don't know what can i do where. Can anybody helpme?
i'm using suse now, because all my hardware works on suse but i want something more faster and of corse, compiled on my machine.
thanks!

your problem is not very related to this thread, you should really open a new thread instead of posting on a thread which is about somehting else.
About your problem: as the original poster, you are very unclear as to 'where' you are. Did you finish installing the ISO? or are you still booted from the iso? Without this basic type of information it's almost impossible to help you! Try to be as precise as possible! |
