I'm curious about how to get from my current 32-bit Lunar system to a 64-bit system. To me, the obvious path is to back up anything important and more or less start clean installing from the latest ISO (maybe keep stuff in /home and other certain locations.)

However, then to get back to my present state, I would need to reinstall all my modules, get their options correct and whatnot. Is there a way to "upgrade" from a 32-bit install to a 64-bit?

Maybe install basic utilities and libraries from the latest ISO, then rebuild all other installed modules against the new 64-bit libraries?

I appreciate your input,
jason

For a 32-bit to 32-bit update/install I used lvu export on the original system and saved the result in /home (and on a USB-stick just in case), and after installing a minimal system from the new ISO, I used lvu import to build all of the modules again.
However, I don't know how well this will work going from 32-bit to 64-bit because some of the modules haven't been updated to 64-bit, or simply won't work with 64-bit. (NVIDIA binary blob?)
