Is there a way to get wine working on a 64 Bit Lunar, the only way I found was to chroot a 32 Lunar to get the things running there....

See wine on 64-bit.

Looks like a 32-bit environment is needed, which in Lunar (being non-multilib) means a 32-bit chroot.

I saw and read the artikel, I found the chroot thingy a bit complicated, only to get wine run, with its dependencies, I find it a bit sad, that there are so much problems on these some programs as, VMWare(NVIDIA), Parallels or Wine Emulators / VMs...

The VirtualBox Emu runs well in 64Bit, but only with OpenGL Acceleration and none M$ DirectX, also it has bad Emulation Quality for NT4 Win98se and below....

Understand, I am searching for a Solution cause I do not want to change from Lunar Linux....

I am in need to get some old Games and Applications running, I looked at all the Emulators, also Crossoffice and Cedega (somewhere a bit better somewhere a bit weaker than wine...) I heard also that VMWare makes a good DirectX Acceleration but they have the Problem with the 64Bit NVIDIA Drivers.....

So I am a bit wicked and wired from this subject......

Do what I did - revert from 64-bit to solely 32-bit.

64-bit isn't worth the effort.

As I mentioned in another thread. I know only of two things, VirtualBox and wine that do not work in x86_64. Afaik, all else does.

I tried the chroot 32Bit SubSystem, it works good, but I did not manage it to get direct Rendering working, every else worked fine, so for now on I use VirtualBox, it works good in the 64Bit Enviroment and 3d-Acceleration works for OpenGL.

..So its waiting Time for wine & Co.....
