Hi,
I'm trying to install lunar on a compaq DL380 (I think a G2, not quite sure).
Dual p3 1Ghz, Scsi controller (onboard LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53C1510 (Rev 02)) with 2x 18Gb disk in raid0
I started with a SmartStart 5.5 and choice OS-type linux.
I installed lunar the regular way (cfdisk / fdisk had to be done in a seperate prompt though. The controller lists the array / partition as /dev/ida/c0d0px , with x as partition number).
After chosing the kernel (the default, recommended kernel) it gives me a quick "Fatal: raid_setup: stat("/dev/ida/c0d0p")" and then returns to the install-menu.
After finishing the install and rebooting at leaves me with a mere blinking cursor.
I stumbled upon http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/15ae-0701a-wwen.htm
with leaves me with the lilo as cause (perhaps the install itself, otherwise the linear mode?)
any ideas?
I restarted the install, and left it at the kernel menu untill further notice. Thanks in advance
/edit: after fiddling around I noticed the "/dev/ida/c0d0p" entry, I realised that the disk itself should be /dev/ida/c0d0. Probably an interpretation fault or something likely in the script?
Anyway, after manualy editing the lilo config, I succeeded in installing the bootloader.
