|
|
Hi everyone,
I'm new to lunar having installed the 64-bit version of 1.6.1. Everything went smoothly right on through to XOrg7. Now I am getting build failures on Xfce4, Kde3 & Gnome2.
Xfce and Gnome both failed at cairo-1.4.10, Kde at Qt 3.3.8 if I remember correctly.
I've been following the docs and lfirsttime to the letter, and I assumed the desktop environment would be the next step after building XOrg7. Am I missing a step or something? I have no idea why these packages keep failing, so any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

if you do not report the build errors on either cairo or qt we can't really do all that much for you...
If you can upload the cairo compile log (/var/log/lunar/compile/cairo-1.4.10.bz2) to some public place and post the link here i can have a look |

pfffft...
Doesn't look good...
Don't really know where to start...
What optimizations did you set in lunar optimize? Maybe try loosening them a bit?

Actually, I didn't set any optimizations that I can recollect. I'll have to take a look at them and see............I'll get back to you. |

Turns out I did have most of the optimizations set right, tried changing a few with no luck. I did see there is a patch for cairo-1.4.10-lcd-filter-1.patch.bz2, but have been unable to get it installed. The last error in the cairo build mentions LCD_FILTER, I figured it may be worth a try. Any ideas on how to utilize this patch?? |
