I get the following error when building the KDE libraries: Code: | checking for KDE... will be installed in
checking grepping for visibility push/pop in headers... no
configure: WARNING: Your libstdc++ doesn't appear to be patched for
visibility support. Disabling -fvisibility=hidden
checking whether g++ supports -fvisibility=hidden... no
checking for KDE paths... defaults
checking for dcopidl... compiled
checking for dcopidl2cpp... compiled
checking for mcopidl... not found
configure: error: The important program mcopidl was not found!
Please check whether you installed aRts correctly or use
--without-arts to compile without aRts support (this will remove functionality) | I have installed aRts, twice. Why is this build unable to locate the program? |

one thing you need to do after installing qt3 is LOG OUT and LOG BACK IN - otherwise the shell is missing vital information about installed libraries. Have you logged out and back in after installing qt3 and arts?
give it a try! |
