Hello guys,
I'm a linux user since 5 years, I tried many distros and even though I'm using Gentoo for quite sometime now (perhaps 3 years), I always install other distros, keep myself up to date with what's going on in the open-source world.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to try Lunar at this time, but I have a few questions regarding the distro before I begin:
1- I know that Lunar is source based (which is what interest me these days I like source based distros), so I have a few question about the package manager.
1.a- What language is the package manager written in?
1.b- which language do you use for the equvalent of Gentoo's ebuilds?
1.c- does Lunar have anything similar to USE flag in portage/gentoo ??
2- I currently have Gentoo system installed on LVM over LUKS, the setup is like this:
Code: |
/dev/sda2 -> /boot
/dev/sda3 -> LUKS -> LVM
/dev/sda4 -? swap
LVM -> Gentoo's Root
LVM -> home
LVM -> storage
Lunar will be installed on
LVM -> Lunar's Root
|
so the question is, does Lunar supports both LVM and LUKS(cryptsetup) and the combination of both of them??
Thank you in advance guys, and I'm very sorry if any of these questions has been asked before. |
