The funny thing is that some part of the driver installs, because X make use of it. If I try to remove it, I get this:

Code:
# lrm NVIDIA
NVIDIA is not installed.

If I try to install a module that depend on GLX, e.g. glitz, I get this:

Code:

doesn't work and will not work... the 64bit iso of lunar is pure 64bit (no 32bit compatible libraries) and the nvidia 64bit is actually multilib, so not 64 bit

Running a pure 64 system in Archlinux using nvidia works quite well. I guess I'll know more about this after installing Lunar. hopfully I'll be able to work out any nvidia problems I might run into.

This is brute force way but might help. Better backup what you delete.
0. Check if /usr/lib64 exist; if not create
1. find in /usr all *nvidia* files and delete them
2. delete:
/usr/lib/libGL.so.1
/usr/lib/libGL.so
/usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1
/usr/lib/libnvidia-tls.so.1
3. lvu edit NVIDIA
4. open DETAILS.x86_64 and change pkg2 to pkg0 (2 times)
5. lin NVIDIA
6. Install NVIDIA's 32-bit compatibility OpenGL libraries? (Answer: Yes)
- Say no.

Thanks, but I have skiped the nvidia card and got a ATI 2600 HD Pro card instead, and running the new xf86-video-radeonhd driver on FreeBSD/NetBSD.
