Hi,

I'm not very familiar with linux yet, but I'm working on it.
Here's my Problem:

I want to run mplayer with arts as audio output. Unfortunatelly I had to realize that my mplayer doesn't support arts ... well, actually I think it doesn't.
When I type

Code:

mplyer -ao help

the only options I get are mpegpes, oss, alsa esd, sdl, null and pcm but no arts.

I read in some boards that it's possible to run mplayer over sdl and configure sdl for arts, but I have not a clue how to do this. Others say you can run mplayer directly with arts. So I think the simpliest way ist the best. Ist there a way to enable arts support for mplayer? How can I do this? Is there a compile option or something like that?
